Chapter 13
Strayer chapter 13 starts off with how Europeans had an advantage in obtaining their power. Things such as location, their ability to conquer land and voyaging through sea and on foot were all things that allowed Europeans to have a hierarchy. By Europeans understanding their location and its connection to agriculture, they tried to conquer as much land with agricultural advancement as they would. Once the America's were discovered around the 1607's, it was also seen that they were also highly valuable in that area. They also were able to excel in other areas such as trading. Most of these qualities reigned on the mindset of wanting to out power other empires and colonies. Strayer also talks about how the diseases and germs Europeans had gave them an advantage because they were the only people used to these germs.
